Where to Eat

Festival Bar

It is located in the plain of Cans, meeting point of the Festival. The projections on Friday night and the performances of Friday and Saturday will take place here.

A cold San Miguel glass of beer for 1 euro and delicious pies. All with the impecable service of the people of Espacio Noite, the association of Night Pubs in O Porriño.

Fortes Bar
A classic at the Festival. It is the typical shop and bar with a hundred years of history. It is one of the epicentres of the Festival. Its home made pies, omelettes and red sausages have already been tasted by celebrities like Luis Tosar, Javier Krahe, Celso Bugallo or José Sacristán, who also tasted a nice “
augardente de herbas” shot.
During the Festival it is always full. It is a good plan to eat here on Saturday at lunchtime but it is better to make a reservation. Oysters will be served on the day of the Festival!

Moncho Bar
It is another classic in Cans. It is just at the entrance, coming from O Porriño. It is the bar where everybody plays cards in Cans. On its basement/warehouse there is one of the showrooms. The owner, Moncho Fortes, is a special guy. An emigrant returned from Germany, he makes his speeches in german and plays the harmonica. If he is in the mood you can even ask for your favourite song!

On Saturday at lunchtime he usually serves delicious octopus. If a group decides to go for lunch, it is better to reserve a table.
